Welcome to the Aaron Bayley band website.

The Aaron Bayley band is simply the perfect soundtrack for your wedding or event.

A very versatile band playing a wide variety of popular songs covering all major genre's and covering all Area's of the UK including Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, Yorkshire, Scotland and more - Have band will travel as they say!

We pride ourselves on making sure that your party is as enjoyable as possible and we guarantee that we'll play "Something for everyone".

Apart from playing every national arena in the country, singing to literally millions on national TV and featuring on an international number 1 selling album Aaron has also performed for the Royal Family and received a standing ovation at the London Palladium!

Aaron and the band have been entertaining crowds for quite some time now and have become regarded as a "Must have band for any occasion" and come highly recommended by major venues ensuring that we provide the most professional service available!

Planning your event

Hints and tips to make your evening go off smoothly

During a standard evening the Aaron Bayley band would normally divide their performance time into three formats. The options are to have the band play anything ranging between two 45 minute sets/2 one-hour sets or three 40-minute sets. The timings will be planned so that the band is not performing whilst the evening buffet is being served. Here are some break down examples of how the band performances would be planned:

Possible schedule:

20.20 - 21.00 First set

22.00 - 22.40 Second set

23.20 - 24.00 Third set

The buffet would normally be served between 21.00 and 22.00. During the band's breaks we provide a CD player for background and dancing music or if your background music is on an ipod or similar format player then we can provide an input directly into the bands PA system. If your event finishes later than midnight it would be advisable to book a DJ as well as the band.

Here's an alternative schedule:

20.30 - 21.30 First set

22.30 - 23.30 Second set

23.30 - 01.00 DISCO

Arrival and setup times

The band will usually arrive at evening events at around 6pm.

In most cases this is usually the time that hotel staff "turn around" a room and prepare for the evening reception. If you are scheduled to be eating your meal at this time then the band will have to arrive after the meal and speeches have finished.

It's also worth taking into consideration that if you would require the band to be on site for an extra three or four hours an additional fee will be charged.

Aaron was a finalist in the 1st series of Pop Idol......some people may remember him as The Train Driver. Aaron has not only performed to live TV audiences of literally millions but has also performed live to crowds of as many as 35,000 at any one time including the Royal family from which Aaron received a personally written letter from His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales thanking him for a fantastic evening of entertainment!Back in about 2004 Aaron was asked to pass on some of his experience and advice to an aspiring young pop star to which he agreed, and that pop star today is known as "Cheryl Cole". (Looks like that advice worked)!Aaron was also dubbed The peoples champion By Simon Cowell, who also said that Aaron has one of the best voices he's heard!Aaron has performed in every national Arena in the UK including Wembley and The Metro radio Arena he even performed on the same bill as Will Young at the London Palladium gaining a standing ovation and resulting in Will Young refusing to come back on stage!The music industry has its ups and downs and Aaron is no stranger to any of them, but his sheer passion for what he loves to do is clearly apparent when hes in front of the mic.Apart from becoming an accomplished song writer with many of his songs being recorded by different artists all over the world and published under Multiplay Music and Willow songs. Aaron has also recorded a new album "Guardian Angel" which is a blend of country/rock and is available on iTunes now and will also be available in music stores in the very near future.

Graeme Hare

Graeme Hare is a graduate of Newcastle College, where he attained an honours degree in jazz and popular music, Bmus (hons)He has established himself as a leading performer, drumming and percussion teacher and composer in the north east of England. Graeme has appeared with The Crosby Brothers, Martin Fletcher in M-FUS, Archie Brown, Little Mo, Deacon Jones and the Sinners, Wanted, The Gerry Richardson Trio, Gerry Richardson's Big Idea, Mamma Mischief, The Richard Kain Band, The Watts 'n' Whiffin Big Band, Morgan Le Fay and Chameleon. He has also recently worked with the Paul James band, Eric and the Vikings, The Interventionists and now the Aaron Bayley band. A hard working teacher:Graeme is one of the hard working team of drummers at Northumberland county music service, delivering drum kit lessons and hand drumming lessons to children in schools in and around the Northumberland area. He is also one of two resident teachers at Newcastle drum centre.

Sean Taylor

Hailing from Northumberland, Sean began playing Bass in his early teens on a small scale Kay catalogue Gibson SG copy handed down from his musically inept older brother! His father Keith, founded Cramlington Folk Club, one of Englands longest running folk clubs, where a young Sean listened to and learned to appreciate many different styles of music. He learned his trade with, among others, the vocal harmony group Legend (Barrie and Ingrid Temple) the Robert Whitehead Band, and various dreadful punk, rock, reggae and indie bands on the local scene. After studying music and music technology, Sean went on to become MD for The Drifters and to play with bands as diverse as Cuig and Bucks Fizz! His understanding of the fretless bass with Irish music has been universally admired, Such tasteful bass guitar Irish Music Mag; That ingenious mix of African and Celtic Steve Dietrich Celtic Airs Radio, USA; Slap bass Township style with a capitol T fRoots.Seans most recent projects include Los Twangeros (With singer songwriter Terry Fletcher); and as bassist with Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies. He has performed on various recordings with Legend Not Before Time; Cuig Prospect; Tom Leary Off The Rocks; Vin Garbutt Word Of Mouth, Vin Garbutt Songbook and Persona Grata; Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies Doolally; and Christi Andropolis Wicker Road.

Jim Hornsby

In his native North East of England Jim is generally recognized as an in demand session guitaristWhenever country licks or Dobro is required Jim is there. Prefab Sprout, Prelude, Martin Stephenson, The Caffreys, Hayley Hutchinson and Ady Ferguson among others have called him in to embellish their records. But there is more to Jim than just his guitar playing. Decorating his mantelpiece is a song writing award that The Country Music Association of North America awarded him in 2001 for Land of Broken Dreams, a song he wrote for Prelude. 2001 also saw Jim releasing a single When Friday Comes Around and his first CD of entirely self-penned vocals Bedford Falls. Both achieved widespread airplay throughout Europe and on Country Music Radio in the USA.Jim has recently toured the Netherlands with Irish singer-songwriter Kate Purcell and the UK, Portugal and the USA with Martin Stephenson. Between recording, touring (including a stint with an Elvis tribute band) and teaching duties (Guitar Weekends), Jim has continued to write songs about his experiences.

Dave is an experienced and versatile playerAfter studying music in Newcastle and Leeds, he has worked in many different situations including cabaret, theatre and the university circuit. Dave was involved in the AIMS project with Bill Wyman which involved performances with Chris Rea and Elvis Costello at the Royal Albert Hall and recordings for MTV. As well as working with Lorrraine Crosby, Status Quo, Mojo Pep. Dave regularly appears with The Richard Kain Band and The Crosby Brothers. His recordings include Middlesbrough FC single Men Of Iron. Dave is currently head of music at Harton Technology College.
